Cow bones, everywhere

Today I:
- procrastinated and only made it to the lab by 11am
- made a ton of ceramic bones for a sculpture
- made a huge cow scupture with a hollow belly. Tomorrow I'm going to add ribs, swirly eyes, horns, and a human skull. If I have the time I'm also going to carve a brain pattern on the cow head, and make indentions on the body to indicate what 'cut' is it..but instead of writing the cut name, I'm going to put a social ill that comes from beef farming.
- mixed and blended my old clay scraps from the past month. Filled one of the plaster bats to suck the water out of the goop now. Tomorrow it should be stiff enough to wedge into usable clay.
- glazed one of my temples

Wow my hair is so long. I just took it out of the braid I've had it in for three days. I'm sitting here and my hair completly covers my chest, belly, all the way down to my hips. When I sit with it undone, it touches the chairseat on either side of me. Neat!

Tomorrow I'm going to drive to BFE Phoenix to the ceramic supply store and get some special glazes for my Bamboo Snail Shrine. I need 'emerald green' and 'Amber Gloss" (Amaco Low Fire glazes) Also tomorrow, I get to finally crack open that kiln and see if my cups survived. Then, I'll finish that cow, finish that minor skull scuplture, and then go home and put in some computer work time.

Whew.

How big is the cow scupture you are working on?

Hope your cups survived the kiln.

Take care.
