Why would you do that?

As I watch the people that work here I am amazed each month as I see their new little relationships evolve and affect their work. It seems that they meet at work, hit it off because they spend more time with each other than they do with their own families and then the affair starts. At first it's great...from my stand point 2 happy employees, working well together, helping each other. Then someone does something to piss the other off and the entire place suffers because of it. They wind up in my office where I have to play counselor (that was not in my job description by the way). And it's not just young people, it's married women having affairs with younger men, it's girls that already have boyfriends hooking up with guys that already have girlfriends. It seems to end up badly more times than not. I have made it a point to not date anyone from work. My best friend and I work together everyday, I've never met a man that I love more. However I wouldn't ever even think of having a relationship with him other than friendship and work because it just screws the entire thing up. So...this being said, would you ever or have you ever had a romantic relationship with someone from work?

I know exactly how you feel.I worked w/ my ex-wife, before the split, for about 3 months and it got to the point where it drove us nuts!! She had a big problem w/ F talking to me, and I was always we always got mad at each other if something wasn't done right.and we were married at the time!I agree that there is a fine line between work and play, and it shouldn't be crossed.
