The struggle

I have an oral fixation.

When I'm happy I eat, when I'm frustrated I eat, when I'm mad I eat...but when I'm sad or upset I don't eat.

I am addicted to chewing gum because of my fixation.

It's no secret that I'm happy and frustrated right now.

I've been eating again. Not just eating, nibbling and over eating. I've gained 4 pounds in the last week.

I've gotta stop it.

I was a big fat cow this time last year and I've struggled to lose 54 pounds, and I've still got a lot to lose til I'll be where I wanna be. No one that knows me would ever say I'm fat,(I hope) I'm just kind of like a Red headed Xena.

Can anyone suggest a hobby or a wonderful book or something to help me keep out of the cookie jar?

I've gotta go to the gym...I'm happy there.

Racket ball is a great hobby if you can find the time, a court and a partner for a regular game. It's a gret way to break a sweat as well as a cardio workout/ just have to find someone to play at about the same level that you are at or you have one person hitting the ball and another chasing after it till they tire out.

Superglue your lips together and your ahnds to your butt cheeks. If you manage to get the cookie jar open, you'll have to inhale them them.

Well, I have an idea for your oral fixation. It's a little known technique, and has the added advantage of being tasty, yet low in calories. In fact, you use up more than you consume! *wink* ... eating celery.
