What to do, what to do....

I took the 2 youngest and we went strawberry picking this morning. We picked 16 lbs in under 20 minutes! I've already made 2 batch's of jam, sliced a big bowl of them for topping cereals and ice cream, froze a half dozen bags or so and put enough aside for making pies.
That still leaves me with about 6-8 lbs of strawberries to figure out what to do with!!
Any suggestions??

You've reminded me of my very first job, when I was 14. Picking strawberries on a 'pick your own' farm. (they also had a stand for those that wanted to just buy em)
Anyway, my most delicious memory was having lunch with the owners, and the shortcake she would make. Fresh strawberries, fresh whipped cream, and homemade sweet biscuits. Wish I could give you the recipe for those, but you sound a very good cook. I'm sure you have your own.
Also, how about strawberry syrup. A great alternative for the pancakes.
Good luck and sweet eating.

cut 'em up, sugar them, let them sit in the fridge and get soft and then smear them on each other and lick them off
