I live at home almost every day dressed fully as a woman from top to bottom (as you might say). I no longer have any mans pants. Every day, all day it's knickers under whatever I wear and most days tights and a bra as well.
If I have to go out it's off with the skirt and on with trousers (women's) to pop out to the shops or whatever. I usually change my shoes and cover up my women's top as well with a jumper - although the shoes I wear are all women's styles and the same with jumpers.
I haven't yet dared take the big step (for me) of actually coming out and wearing a skirt and full make-up outside of the house. My garden yes, but not out on the street.
That's a really big step and I don't know when - or if - I will ever be brave enough to take it. One day maybe, who knows. Each time I go out with something more feminine on is a little step nearer that goal without actually 'crossing the line' of society acceptability.
Stupid really that what someone wears (a man especially) should be a determination of what that person really is - as if clothes should determine character, feeling, abilities, love, perspectives and true personality.
