Telling people you are a transvestite .2

With girlfriends now I have a ‘policy’ that I tell them I am a transvestite within a few days of meeting them. To keep it secret is wrong and is sure to lead to disaster ‒ and apart from anything it would mean I could never take them home.
I told my latest female partner after about five days. She was worried sick that I was about to say I had aids or something awful and said she was quite ‘relieved’ when I told her I was a transvestite.
So she accepted it and went along with it. I tried to ‘break her in’ to the concept slowly. First I showed her that I always wore knickers and tights. One day I came down wearing women’s shoes and another day wearing a bra. She had already seen me nude and so had seen my breasts.
Since then I have worn women’s tops in front of her, some make-up, and even a bikini (briefly) - but for some strange reason she doesn't want to see me in a skirt or a dress. I’m working on that.
Oddly enough she has been willing to mend a couple of my skirts and is currently happily colouring an underskirt for me to match a skirt we bought together at a market.
I’m hopeful that one day she will be willing to see me as the woman I am.
