Alison's dream. Part 9. Buying clothes.

I felt really good walking along as Alison for the first time. I should always have been a girl like this I thought and now I really am, here for the world to see.
I followed mum into the first shop and up to the young ladies department. We began hunting through the racks for tops and I soon found a few that I really liked and that I thought were my size (mum had given me an idea on this beforehand). Then we went over to the skirts and did the same and again found a couple of nice short ones that I really liked ‒ more so than the ones mum had brought home for me originally.
“Well you’d better go and try them on,” said mum. “I’ll come with you and we’ll find a cubicle and you can make sure they fit.
I hadn’t bargained for this. Me in a girls changing room! But then again I was now going to be a woman, so I had to get used to it. Carrying my items we headed to the small area set aside for trying on clothes.
We found a cubicle and I popped in while mum waited outside. The skirts were fine, but one top seemed too loose and another too tight. Showing mum she agreed and while I waited in my bra top she popped back to the racks to get the next size for me to try.
Perfect this time, so I got dressed and we went to pay. That was quite easy I thought with a little smile.
The shoe purchase also went well. I tried on some with three inch heels and did wobble a bit, but the assistant was very kind, asking mum if it was the first time her daughter had been on such high heels. “Her daughter!” Wow, did that go down well in my mind.
So on to the lingerie store. Tights were easy and we also found this bra and knickers set that were ‘absolutely adorable’. Mum thought they were a bit too scanty, but she could see my face and relented in the end. Good old mum.
More tomorrow.
