Alison's dream. Part 27. Another date with a boy?

The next few days were spent with mum practicing being a girl with all my mannerisms. Learning to speak in a softer tone and smile like a girl. Learning to bend down without showing my knickers. How to gently fluff my hair in a sexy, girlish way. How to put on my nail varnish properly.
My hair was now looking loads better, longer and easier to curl at the ends and produce much more girl-like bangs. Dad kept moaning to me about it every night when he saw me saying that I was beginning to look more and more like a girl. I wished I could tell him, but for now it had to remain a secret between me and mum.
On Friday evening the phone rang and mum answered (thankfully). “It’s Peter for you she called out, shall I transfer it upstairs?”
“Please,” I said, very nervously. This was decision time. “Hi there, how’s life?”
“Well I’ve got some bad news and some good,” he said. “I can’t make it tomorrow after all, but how about a date next Saturday? We can go to the coffee bar then.”
“Eeer, yes,” I muttered. “That would be fine.” Well I had done it, but not tomorrow. I now had a week to get used to the idea of a second date with a boy.
He apologised once more for our first time out, saying he wasn’t really that sort of lad and it would never happen again. I accepted. Told him I wasn’t that sort of girl (!!!), laughed a little and said I was getting ready for college.
“Me too,” he said. “I’m at this all-boys place on the far side of town. I hate it.” We chatted a little, but not too much. Seemed he had only recently come to live in the town and didn’t know that many people.
I was his first real date. Wow, first real date ‒ me too!
