Running away solves lots of things!

Another dumb cliche, that is so untrue, is:
"Running away never solves anything!" WRONG!

Some obvious examples:

A lion or tiger is chasing you. Running away and not being mauled or eaten solves the most important thing, survival. Sometimes a toxic relationship is like a tiger chasing and eating you. Getting some distance, figuratively and literally, does a body good.

Last night watched some of Tina Turner's autobiography movie, What's Love got to do with it? Tina fleeing an abusive relationship with Ike was the best thing for her survival and growth as an artist.

Even if flight is only temporary, sometimes a break in the action is good.

Reminds me of another old joke:

When you and a friend are being chased by a tiger, you do not have to be faster than the tiger, just faster than your friend!

In fencing there is a defensive move called a distance parry, where you back up out of range of the touch. Using distance to separate one from bad stuff is very sensible and effective!
