The key thing to avoiding craziness is to forgive others and the world for being so screwed up.

Being bitter just hurts you, and does not solve any problem. A recent study of nuns diaries showed that the angry bitter ones died much earlier than the happy optimistic ones. (They study nuns because they cooperate, stay in one place, keep diaries and are willing to share to help science.) I don't plan on becoming a happy nun!

So repeat after me: I forgive them their trespasses against me, as I hope they will forgive me my tresspasses.

I agree, you have to forgive. How can you make progress if you can't forgive or be willing to forgive?

A little more forgiveness would go a long way to making this a better world. Isn't it all about treating others the way we would like to be treated. After all, you're going to reap what you sow.

Sometimes it is hard to figure out how... especially in matters of the heart. Yeah.. I've been hurt and still have trouble with it.

I find part of forgiveness is just letting go. Sometimes I get so competitive and try to prove I am right and they are wrong. So what? Life is not just a game with a winner and a loser. So they did something wrong. I have done lots of things wrong, maybe not to the same person but on another occasion. So I just let it go. Perhaps they will let it go for some dumb sleight or some fool thing I said. I hope so!
