Fed. Ninth Circuit holds partial live birth abortion ban unconst.

Citing the lack of exceptions for the health of the mother, the Fed. Ninth circuit held the Partial life birth abortion ban statute unconstitutional.

And it should! Killing women to save a fetus which may not be viable, is barbaric. Doesn't the right to life apply to the mother too?

Damn right wing asses who control Congress!

red, don't you know, according to Catholics and those who call themselves Christian, since the fetus is unbaptised, it's far more important than the life of the mother. The mother should have been baptised or christened by the time she gives birth. Therefore, she can enter the kingdom of Heaven as a martyr.

No, I'm not joking. Catholic hospitals used to throw shit fits if it was a case of the life of the mother or the life of the child and the father chose the mother. Some still do. As a matter of fact, I have a friend with an elderly mother who, the Catholic hospital she was in for a stroke was going to let her die, in spite of being insured to the gills. Why? Because it is God's will.

This goes back to the middle ages. The child's life was more important than the mother's. The mother was nothing but a vessel to bring forth new life, preferably in the form of a son.

Women are second class citizens in the eyes of the right wing and most fundamentalist churches. Bush won't even allow Laura to speak for herself at informal press conferences. I'm amazed they all don't make their wives walk ten paces behind them.

Idiotic, even logically a grown woman can have more kids. Invested in educating andfeeding her, so use her as a brood mare...
Just being cynical. I think the attitude is crazy.
