Could not care less about the facts...

Another ex official telling the story that the Bush Admin was not interested in the facts about WMD's... Why am I not surprised? We need regime change in the USA!

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--The CIA's former top officer says the White House ignored intelligence that said there were no weapons of mass destruction or an active nuclear program in Iraq, CBS News reported on its Web site Friday.
The officer, Tyler Drumheller, told '60 Minutes' for its Sunday broadcast that the Bush administration ignored crucial information from a high and credible source: then Foreign Minister Naji Sabri.
"(The source) told us that there were no active weapons of mass destruction programs," Drumheller said. "The (White House) group that was dealing with preparation for the Iraq war came back and said they were no longer interested. And we said, "Well, what about intel?' And they said, 'Well, this isn't about intel anymore. This is about regime change.'"
Drumheller, CBS reported, said White House officials didn't want any additional information from Sabri.
"The policy was set," Drumheller said. "The war in Iraq was coming, and they were looking for intelligence to fit into the policy."
CBS News said that the White House declined to respond to the charge, but U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has said Sabri was just one source and therefore not reliable.
Drumheller retired from the CIA last year.

not to defend the WH, for sure, but i guess i take "retirees" with a grain of salt .. especially left wing ones, who by nature, seem to believe the "end justifies the means" ...... also, those who do nothing while in, then cum out and critisize after need to be taken carefully.

Eg: the 6 generals this week ...... are motives political? ... sour grapes, ... or ... or ?
How about the dozens who likely differ from them .....well, indesputedly (based on cnn p olls, 91 - 4 - 6 independent) left press promotes it's agenda, .. somehow omits that which doesnt promote it's agenda .. a sad truth that makes all reporting meaningless (at least if truth is your priority)

my take ..... one person doesnt tell the whole story.

There are far more than one guy saying the Whhite House decided to invade Iraq and stopped caring about the facts early on. consider Clarke, Powell, Wilson, etc. Not everyone who thinks the Iraq misadventure is a left wing commie! Try 66% of America, right now!
