Acute anal-cranial inversion

Time for a rant. My son is 23 and has graduated college like many of his generation, but seems stalled in getting his life going. I don't get it.

I went straight through high school, college, law school and have worked ever since. Sometimes working hard, sometimes hardly working at all. But always employed by someone or myself, and making some money.

Our son seems stalled in the land of indecision. I have tried to help but he is still trying to figure it out. I do not have enough facts to go on and resist ordering him to do anything as I believe he has to figure it out. But he has not.

If he cannot find a job where he is, you would think he would go where the jobs are! NOT.

If he cannot find a job in his field of expertise, you would think he would try another field! NOT.

Do you think I intend to support ildeness and sloth indefinitly? NOT.

I think he needs to remove his head from up his ass and get on with life.

My son is a lost soul, searching for his destiny. He is much like his mother when she was at his age. He is a free spirit. Does not like to conform to societies standards. I allow him to explore, give him a home, feed him when we have but never ever give him more than what is neccessary to stay alive and safe. He must buy all his own things or have none. I give him no money. He gets nothing but love and support from us. I was not at home at his age so we differ there. I left home very very young to explore and experience. He is just scared so we give him shelter and time. He is learning, growing in his own time. And since all his clothes are worn and torn he now has gotten a job. Everybody is different.

Well we have stopped most financial support but he has learned to live on little money. I am shaking my head and sticking with my mantra: He will figure it out!

I just wish he would get on with it! Hard to spend years biting your tongue!
