weekend lethargy

Today was my company picnic at Knoebels but eh...I just didn't feel like it today. We get $30 worth of free tickets, which is pretty much enough for 2 people to ride some rides and eat lunch for free. But I didn't feel like seeing people from work. 40-some odd hours around those people was enough this week.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good internet service when I move? I was thinking of trying DSL, but the guy who might be my roomie wants to go cable modem. He already has a modem and knows somebody that could hook us both onto the same connection for free. I told him I already signed on for my dish for the next year, and I fucking hate Suxcom so there is no way I would switch back to their rip-off lousy cable anyway for watching my cartoons. So we won't be able to get a package deal for using their poopy cable service. He says cable modem is fast enough that he can play Guild Wars. I know, don't even get me started on the online dorking stuff.

My next post will be my 100th. I was thinking of posting some things no one wants to know about me, but the Puma princess said I will be sabotaging myself from ever meeting any guys on here again. I don't know how many guys she thinks I'm meeting on here in RL.

Suxcom is that a real company or is that your word lol....do you have Verizon up in that area for your phone service...you can get Verizon DSL for less than dial up right now..go to their website and put in your phone number they can tell you if it is available in your area and if you order it online it is $14.95 per month but you have to sign for a yr of service. As to cable well we have two cable companies in Allentown RCN and Service Electric and some people I know have both. Cable is fast but expensive as hell...if you want the two way link..which means uploads and downloads if you just get one way it is cheaper but if you get it that it uploads fast your downloads will go over your phone line like dial up so it has its pros and cons..hell I still use dial up lol I dont know what is holding me back I guess it is the fact that I will have to get a new email address with Verizon if I sign with them and I dont like being locked into having to agree to getting it for a yr. If you get it and cancel before the yr is up they charge you a big ass fee...so that is what I know about all this stuff. Hugs, Jazz

Suxcom = Suxcom ...LOL

My friend says we could probably get cable modem service at a similar monthly rate to DSL. I guess I'll probably just wait and see if he is moving in for sure or not then decide

Hey, I've got mixed feelings about Verizon too anymore. They talked me into a shitty package deal and I had to bug the shit out of the CSRs to get a cheaper package back. They harrass me because I don't even have a package deal now. They leave more calls on my Caller ID than the last person I dated did...

congrats on your upcoming 100th post. it's your blog, write whatever you want. most bloggers write '100 things about me'. i did it at 69, lol... i lacked the patience. and preferred the number.
kisses.

Cable modem is best yet expensive. I just got mine today considering having too much problems with my DSL.

Anyway, good luck on the move!

Yeah I dont know about over there in PA but cable modem service is ridiculously expensive here in NY. So I stick with verizon as much as I don't like em.

The roomie is pretty dead-set on cable modem, but I figure it won't be too bad splitting the bill between 2 people....plus he will probably make up the difference if I can only pay, say, $15 or so a month towards it.
