had to have some funnel cake

I just sped down to the Avis carnival so I could get a funnel cake before it started raining. I had not inhaled..er..enjoyed one since sometime last year. I came home so I could polish off that delicious sugar and grease with a cold beer. I know I'm overweight, and I know I shouldn't be piggin' but it's funnel cake! Who can resist funnel cake? Ok, maybe my grammy, but she's diabetic. Plus I''m sure she's had hundreds of funnel cakes already... It's nice every once in awhile to have an urge to do something and actually give in to it.

As I was leaving the carnival I saw one of the ladies from work and her husband working the raffle table for their biker club, so I am now entered in the raffle to win a 2006 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster. Woo hoo!

We left just before the rain too, only no funnel cake. Grabbed some hot sausage and fries, and just had to have a blueberry snowcone too.

Damn, it's a small world after all

I guess everybody has something they HAVE to have at the carnival. When I go to the Regatta in LH I always have to have one of the expensive fresh lemonades, but I have usually had all my funnel cake for the year by then...lol

What is funnel cake?!!!

It's basically deep-fried donut batter with confectionary sugar on top. They drizzle the batter onto the fryer surface so you get layers of greasy goodness to rip off and eat. I think it's something that originated with the Pennsylvania Dutch.

Wouldn't that kick ass? The 2nd prize is $300, so that would even be nice.
