Kinda sorta moved

I am in my wonderfully bizarre house now with my cat. There is still a lot of stuff at the old apartment, but at least I have until the 15th to get everything out before my lease ends. The roomie probably won't be moving in until next month by the looks of it, so I figure I can leave stuff not put away for that long...

Yesterday it was raining so hard around here I only got one load of my junk in my car. Today it was pretty decent out so I hauled about a load and a half in the back of my dad's little pickup truck. The half was because it was dark out already when I finished loading a dresser at the apartment and I thought 'screw it..I'm not unloading much more than this in the dark.' I moved stuff by myself the past two days because I figured my dad and stepmom helped me get my bed and sofabed moved friday before it started storming, so they deserved for me to leave them alone to do Labor Day weekend stuff. I haven't been rushing around too much with the weather being unpredictable anyway. Saturday morning was pretty damn funny. I got up and put on coffee, then realized that I remembered my prissy flavored creamer and forgot to bring sugar or even any silverware to stir. heheh

Heh, you never realize how much junk you accumulate until you have to move it all . Then you'll be forever getting it back to normal.

It's just funny that I fit so much stuff in that little apartment to begin w/. I hate to say it, but I think I'm a packrat.

cool I'll probably be around over the weekend if you need help or just want to hang......I don't really have anything else planned except going to the antique show and the norm....

Hopefully I'll have a lot done by this weekend. I should have all the sofabed stuff cleaned so you can even hang out at the house here and pass out if you want.

Seems like things are coming along. I envy you in a way...I love deciding where to put things and trying out different looks for rooms etc. and then thinking about all the little extras I could get at Walmart or Target to spice/spruce up the room even more. Also you now have a yard so you get to plant flowers in the spring or bulbs in the fall and then enjoy them when they bloom. Just don't tell Piggy and Peg the squirrels where you live cause they will come and dig everything up. Enjoy your new home hun. Hugs, Jazz

There is a garden here that the last owners had & a little stone peach tree. I saw a big fat squirrel running with a peach earlier.

Thanks, Dig. I have to laugh though because after moving stuff all weekend, going back to work tomorrow will feel like a break!

Sort of like fitting all the clowns into the little car

Out with the old and keep the good. Sorting stuff takes so much time to decide. This is a great time to clean out stuff you will never use again. Good Luck!

I think I just own too much stuff with sentimental value. At least I have a little attic...

Well at least your out of that bad situation you were in and all thats left is moving the junk around. Having helped move friends many times I know its know fun and you want to leave it to the last minute. Get done what you can at your own pace and enjoy owning your own home. Gah I'm jealous!!!

Moving is a huge pain in the ass, but I keep telling myself at least this will be the last time (hopefully). I get to turn around and help my roomie move in then, and I'm about to strangle him because he wants to start moving some of his stuff in already and I figured he'd at least wait until I finished hauling my junk.

Congratulations!!! I'm pleased to learn you accomplished this obsession of yours.

What other weird stuff is in your house? Does it have a stripper pole? I used to own a house with a stripper pole. It was awesome!!!

hmmm..that gives me something else to add to my home improvements list. It could also double as an emergency pole in case of a fire.
