Grrrrrrr....

There, that's all I have to say about that.

I get to go to a family gathering today where I will get all forms of bullshit spewed at me in attempts to discourage me from buying a house. Some of my relatives have this belief that since I am not married and don't have kids, I should have to rent shitty little apartments forever. These are the same family members that overlook me when planning gatherings or just add my name onto invites they send my mom (yeah, nevermind that I haven't lived at my mom's for 3 years or something). Apparently, since I'm not married yet I don't have actual person status in my family. Today is going to be so much fucking fun.

For those who don't have to put themselves in belittling situations, have a good weekend.

My family was like that too. I just did what I wanted and figured screw them! Hope the weekend gets better for you. Try to have fun!

This is what I would say to some members in my family when they would open their mouths and say something stupid. I would say "Well, when you start paying all my bills and supporting me, then you can tell me what to do. Until then, please shut your mouth." I know how you feel, I am in the same boat, people tend to look at single people as aliens from another planet, like what's wrong with you, why are you not married? Then when you finally do get married it's why don't you have any kids, etc. etc. the list goes on. They will always find something to critize about you because they have nothing better to do with their time apparently. Do what you want to do hun it is your life and your money and screw them all. Hugs, Jazz

Good Luck. I don't actually hear it, however I can sense it in there voices. I am turning 37 next month. Still not married, no house. Money, thats a laugh!!
I know they are happy to have me, yet I think they are somewhat disappointed!!

Carpe Diem

It didn't end up being too bad. Luckily, the person who is most critical of everyone in my family was too busy because she was the hostess of the party..LOL.

She pretty much told me months ago that there was no point in me bothering looking for a house because I wouldn't be able to afford it and couldn't handle the responsibility anyway. How kind of her!

Hey, well, you can always look forward to not being married with children at 35 and everyone thinks your a lesbian.

Some people on my dad's side of the family think I am a lesbian already because I don't have any kids. I figure that is a good enough cover for none of them to recognize me if they log onto this site ever though, right? heheh.
