An End to Good Times

Well, all good things must come to an end! It is Monday night, and on Wednesday morning I take my sons back to their Mom, who returns from out-of-country. We've been to several Rangers games, gone to Houston to visit family, and spent a day at Six Flags. I wonder if it's enough? Did I do enough with them that they will remember this time as a special time with Dad when they get older? I know they will remember going to Mexico and So. Carolina and wherever with Mom, but will they remember the smaller stuff we did?
I can only afford to do so much with them, and I worry that it won't be enough.

Kids are incredible, incomprehensible creatures. My little girls remember things that I never thought they would, and don't always remember the things I expected to make big impressions. They will remember the times they spent with you where they had fun, where they felt loved and special, no matter how much you spent (or didn't spend) on them at the time. It's clear that you love them; there will be times when it won't seem like they know or appreciate it, but trust me, they do.
