Change of plans

Well, I won't be house-sitting like I thought. My father has apparently contracted poison oak. He's too ill to travel, but not so ill that he requires supervision. So, he's home watching the dogs and I get to stay at my empty, boring house.
I may have guests over some time this weekend. Other than that, I'm going to put myself on webcam as much as possible. Yes, I'm still passively fishing for attention. My camera time will ramp back down to the normal evenings and weekends when I go back to work on Monday.

Profile turnaround time is too slow

At some point, I will undoubtedly rant about the poor software quality of this site.
(As I am writing this, 'sandylechien' appeared in my Alt.com camera viewers list as a woman. His account says he is a man.)
Here, specifically, I want to address the slow turnaround time for profile changes and picture additions. It seems to me that changes to the introduction or the first picture added to a profile must take less than an hour to approve. Otherwise, who would be willing to update their profile? Especially because one cannot enter the chat rooms when one's profile is "under review".
Incidentally, if you are already in a chat room when you update, you are not booted. That feels like a design flaw. I can see where the programmers (I call them that because I doubt they have competent software engineers) took the easy way out rather than ensuring that the site's features are consistent. If the goal is to prevent people from seeing an incomplete profile, then shouldn't the person be booted from current chat rooms on a profile change? Conversely, if the chatrooms are robust enough to handle a live profile change, shouldn't the user be able to enter a chatroom freshly, even while "under review"?
At some point, I may suggest that we form a group to create a consensus of user opinion surrounding the quality and features of this site. I am thinking of calling it "the coalition", and it would serve analogously to how many small nations form powerful voting blocs in the United Nations. As long as our requests are reasonable (like, say, increasing the budget of quality assurance or reducing/eliminating unnecessary features in order to put more resources into improving the necessary ones), we could help them develop a quality site.

What to do with the next two days?

I have this week off from work, although Friday doesn't count (I'm housesitting for the extended holiday weekend).
So, basically, I've already burned my first two of four days off. What should I do with the remaining two? It feels like I should meet someone special on this site tonight, then travel tomorrow and have caring, passionate sex with her for two days. And yes, it would take the whole two days. I'm still a beginner.
As a side-note, at one time I made a point of looking up the word 'angst'. It means fear or dread of the future.

Yup, rejection still sucks

I have difficulty overcoming my fear of rejection. It doesn't help when I reach out and get slapped down.
I don't think I'm being hypocritical here, although some of the male viewers of my cam may disagree. I think I've made it clear in my introduction that I'm not likely to respond to men, so it shouldn't surprise them when it happens. That would be the same as if I were attempting to chat with a woman who has "no men" in her introduction.
For the few guys that have been persistent, I think I've been somewhat polite. There was a guy that tried to page me a couple of times today. Finally, I said in my microphone, "Sorry, dude, but I'm just not into guys."
There was another viewer today, a woman (for a change) who was, as she put it, "looking for cock". I told her that I don't show on camera, but I was polite about it and she was, in turn, polite and humorous. That feels a whole lot better than the alternative.
Aaaaand, I'm over it.

Yeah, CB_2's reply to my previous post ("Channel surfing? How do I keep you on my camera?") stung a bit. Just a little too close to the truth. It seemed like an excellent dual-use of my time; get exercise and attract women! Well, I had it half right. I've stopped exercising on camera.
So now, I just sit there with a stupid grin on my face and pray that interesting women will connect and start chatting with me. What's the point, you ask? Well, for someone with low confidence, it means that someone who is willing to connect to my camera and start up a chat session with me must be truly interested in me. No chance at rejection. Mind-numbingly easy, for a coward.

Someone's body consistently gets in the way of the camera. I think that female masturbation and blowjobs are the most camera-friendly sexual acts. Actual penis-in-vagina fucking is difficult to get on camera in any detailed way. At least, that's how it appears on the cameras I'm seeing.

Well, it looks like my blog is attracting an audience. Two readers have even posted comments. It's not a bad ratio, about 10 views to 2 comments. Could you do me a favor and post more comments? I think I get points when people post comments to my blog (and I think the poster does as well), which helps me out as a standard member.
Also, if you're a woman and you are not a standard member (you're silver or gold), could you drop me an e-mail? I would enjoy meeting more people on this site, but standard members (male standard members, at least) can't initiate e-mail threads without spending points.

I don't have a problem with channel surfing the cameras on this site (or Alt.com, or anywhere else). However, when I see a woman pop into my viewing list, then pop out again, I start to wonder what drove her off?
So, here's a question to the women on this site who are looking for (at) men's cameras. What are you looking for? What keeps you interested in a particular camera feed?
(I'm hoping it isn't jackoff guy, because I don't want to do that on an open camera. If I get to know you, however, I may be convinced to masturbate on a private camera.)

Well? I mean, I'm always fully clothed. Mostly, it's just my face and shoulders, except when I'm on the exercise bike (still fully clothed). And, admittedly, I see the channel surfers (like myself) come and go. But there are a few dudes who just seem to stick. They're often much older than I am, too.
I suppose if young (as in younger than me) homosexual dude was watching my camera, I'd be flattered. Old homosexual dude just creeps me out. I understand that they, like me, can't freely look at profiles. That's why I put "(hetero)" in my summary line. And again, it's not like I'm showing anything they couldn't see on the street.
Today, I had 33-year-old dude on my Adult FriendFinder cam, and 40-year-old dude on my Alt.com cam (I usually simulcast). I wanted to shout at my monitor, "Dudes! Get together! You don't need me!"
There is a little hypocrisy in my stance. There are plenty of couples and bisexual/bi-curious women who state in their summary "no men" or "no single men". In the past, I have peeked into their cameras anyway. After all, I might enjoy it. However, I've backed off of that, solely to avoid being a hypocrite.
I have avoided bouncing the unwanted individuals from my camera, as long as they are quiet. It's unconfortable for me, but not by a lot. I don't want the bad karma (no, I'm not particularly mystic; it's just a convenient description) of forcing someone away who is apparently enjoying himself and not really causing me any harm.
My camera is still boring, though. Seriously, older homosexual dude, you're better off channel-surfing until you find jack-off guy. For that matter, younger homosexual guy, you're in the same boat. At least the women (I want to say 'regardless of age', but I think that >20 years difference is stretching it) can get a chat response from me, if chat is working.
