Last night we watched the ABC special "Fallen Idol". We had heard about the alledged affair between Paula and a contestant, but had not really believed it. After all, Corey Clark was not exactly a stud-muffin after all, and ABC would love to see FOX fall, and Idol is the top show on FOX for the coveted 24-36 yr old demographic. And of course Corey released a single on Tuesday and has an album that will be released later, not to mention a possible book deal.

After watching, there was no doubt in our minds that they had an affair. The clothing receipts, phone records, and his knowledge of Paula's house and even the names of her 3 dogs.

So why do you think she did it? If she needed a man, I think she could have found a more attractive one in almost any bar.

But instead she decided to influence the judging of Season 2. What was she thinking?

I think it was maybe a little coaching, perhaps she took that special interest, however, I cannot believe she would risk her credibility, and her rebirth of her career for a "boy"!!!! I mean look at how he is handling this if this DID happen?? He has a new album coming out in about 2 weeks, and his manager probably figured that people have forgotten what he looked like and this is just a publicity stunt to help put him back on the frontburner!!

Maybe she took an intrest in all the we know that?
Maybe she got a crush on him..does that not happen to us? I worked with celebs for a time and theyre just as human as us..but sometimes we hold them up to higher standards..theres a lot of missing info withholding my judgement till more info is had.

Lady and Bunny, we may have been a little quick to judge, but it does look bad right now. And yes we do seem to hold celebrities to a higher standard, but maybe that's just because this celebrity has always portrayed herself as NICE.

I say SO WHAT.... other than she is the judge on this show.... Hey.. guys have been coming onto younger women under their influence since time began.... Are we still so old fashioned that the woman can't do the same thing?
And... besides.. who she chooses to sleep with is her business.. she isn't married now.. is she? Where is the crime?
It is soooo funny that because a woman is older than the guy we or should i say the MEDIA makes such a big f**king deal of it.

I have to agree with LeEnchantress, I did watch it for about 5 mintues and the interviewwe made it out to be such a big deal. OMG!! But I don't see it as a big deal. There are alot of relationships that go on at work, it just another place to meet people. They both were consenting adults, and seeing as she was not solely responsible for the decision to keep him or not, I'm fine with it. Just my thoughts...Rick

The fact that she was a judge, and he was a contestant made it wrong.

BTW, this Corey is a piece of s**t, I guess his possible "career" is more important than anything else

With so much at stake for Paula, it seems a little far fetched. But out of all of this, Corey has created such a negative vibe, that people aren't really interested in what he's singing about. So this ultimately will backfire on him and his career. People in the industry will remeber him for how he came in and they will be happy to give him an unforgettable exit. Lessons he must learn: Hard work will give you longevity. Don't kiss and tell, and in this situation, if you don't kiss don't tell people you did.
