You know your relationship is going into the toilet when...

...all the other person can remember about you is everything that you did that pissed them off for the last several years.

...your bank account is suddenly empty.

...you start getting huge charges on your credit cards for stuff the other person has bought that you've never seen.

...your significant other starts taking tango lessons and staying over night with a friend.

...their cat pisses on your laundry.

...their dog growls at you when you come home from work.

...you haven't had sex for 6 months.

...you come home from work and find all your stuff in garbage bags in the front yard.

...

and the one thing I sure want to do (as probably do all of us) is find a really loving and nurturing relationship where problems become opportunities to get even closer and more in love.

yep. had another round with the ex ...we're still sorting out our business ventures, which unfortunately is an opportunity for her to rant and vent about stuff...I am so sick a tired of that...but damned if I'm going to walk away from my share just because I can't stand listening to her beat herself up and project on me her problems. But I can't sell my half to anyone else because )besides the buiy out claus) I wouldn't wish her as a partner on my worst enemy..and I don't have the bucks to buy her out...I think this is called Hell.

There are days when I'd like to throw some stuff in my car, leave the state, and start over completely new somewhere else.

I am sorry and I can relate completely. Doing the same here as you know...honestly didn't mean to be so flippant with ya. Can we just run away together. New Mexico? I can garden and you can restore both of the adobe houses next to each other. One for you and one for me Bug hugs to you today

I agree with your comment to Neece80. Well said.

great comment to neece - isn't that what we all want, and even need?

puntachueca replies on 7/11/2006 5:11 am:
Absolutely.
In that context and climate anything is possible.
So much energy gets wasted in anger and criticism and defensiveness...imagine if all that were going into love and trust (and sex)....
