The dog chasing a truck

Trying to hook up with someone via the internet is kind of like the dog chasing a truck. What does the dog do when he catches the truck?

I might be whining a bit about the lack of a real live encounter as a result of being on this site...then I got to thinking I'm the dog chasing a truck. What would I actually do if someone responded with "hey, let's meet at such and so place at 7 tomorrow and see if there's chemistry".

Kind of brings up some basic dynamics...we might want something on one hand and be actively pursuing that goal, while simultaneously sabotaging the effort on the other hand because there's a side of ourselves that really doesn't want to succeed.

I suspect the core reason anyone would be here is they want a more sexually satisfying relationship than what they've got now. Or just a sexual relationship because they've got nothing now.

But, in truth, most of us want more than just a good fuck. We want to be able to combine our sexuality with the other more conventional aspects of a relationship...but in the past there's been a split...can't have both in the same relationship.

So, having started relationships from the more conventional modes and then discovered the sexual side wasn't there, we're trying to go at this from the opposite side...pursue the purely sexual side first, and hope we'll still love them in the morning.

And having deep reservations about that approach at the same time.

From reading other blogs, it strikes me there are some ladies who post pretty provocative pictures of themselves, then get upset when someone reacts with a "let's get together and fuck" response. They caught their truck.

I wonder how many times the guy sending that kind of message gets a response like "ok, when?" and then freaks because he caught his truck.

I am musing about this because I got a phone number the other day proximate to my location meaning the ball is now in my court.

This dog is taking truck driving lessons real fast.

How are the lessons comin'? Is he learning to drive a little yet? He will, give him time.

The cat and the dog are fighting for who drives.
