MMMmmm.....smells good...

As I was laying down to go to sleep last night I was pondering on what to write in my blog. I was clueless, I was starting to fret on having nothing to talk about. Then it dawned on me, smell. lol. NOOOO, not something that doesn't smell good. Cologne to be specific. There isn't much else in this world that can attract a female than cologne that smells great on a man.

A good smelling man walks by a woman, typically what happens is woman will inhale *especially if she's been bumped will be sharply*, she will then be like mmmmm, he smells good. Then she will turn to her friends and say, did you smell him? He smells good! Which, in turn, gets all her friends smelling after you as well. They will then consult with each other as to 1. who you are. 2. what cologne you are wearing. 3. Who is going to ask to find out for sure. lol.

I can say this much, when I am able to go out to a club/bar and I DO get asked to slow dance *which isn't very often I'm afraid*, there is nothing like being held tight with my head against his shoulder/chest and him wearing cologne. You can smell the cologne on his neck, and if you were to turn your face a little more into the crook of his neck, you could start to slowly kiss it. Smell it on his shirt, you just want to start rubbing his chest. It can really put thoughts into a woman's head.

Now, the major thing in all of this is GOOD smelling cologne and not TO MUCH cologne. There is a fine line with TO MUCH. lol. What cologne smells good on your best bud, might not smell as good on you. Each person's body chemistry reacts with the ingredients in the perfume and changes how it smells on each different person. Same as with perfume. PLEASE PLEASE don't take a bath in it. You'll knock us over alright, but not in a good way. Kinda like Pepe LePew in the Looney Tune cartoons. lol. Fortunately I have noticed that the majority of men do know what colognes smell good on them and they have a variety of them at their disposal.

How many of you guys have a signature scent?

How many of you guys know exactly what I'm talking about?

How many of you ladies agree with me?

Has this information shed any light and helped anyone?

I have to say pretty blue eyes, I've never worn a cologne, but that is entirely because I don't know what I want, or what you girls are after. From a bloke's perspective, I love it when you're walking down the street and a girl walks past. Sometimes you can smell her perfume in your wake, and if it's nice I can't help but turn around to see who was wearing it. I alaso love how one side of the bed starts to smell of your current partner and if she's not there then it's great to be able to smell her on your pillows.
Perhaps there should be a poll of what cologne's to buy!

theres only 2 or 3 colognes i'll wear. chaps by ralph lauren, and addidas moves. the others are after shave lotions. wrangler black, stetson and addidas. no i don't wear all of 'em at once or take a bath in them. the best luck i have had is the addidas moves. and your right blue, they do talk about it. funny since it happened last nite and i'm reading about it today.

Any guy with a clue knows what you say is true. I wear two scents for those times, Ralph Lauren "Romance", or Dolce & Gabanna.

But I never wear them for work, I work at a school (running a tutoring center)and I feel it would be inappropriate in that context.

I only wear Dolce & Gabbana (original scent).

It's a clean scent and it's subtle, yet very unique.

Might I suggest going to a local department store with a female friend. I'm sure she will be most happy to help you find some cologne. Just remember it will smell different on you than the little card and don't smell to much because after awhile its hard to distinguis scents. You are so true on that about the pillows! lol. I often get stopped somewhere by men and women telling me how I smell good. It makes me feel very happy not to mention sexy when that happens. Good idea on the poll!

Tip: In order to avoid the scents running together when you are shopping for some cologne bring a small ziploc bag with some coffee beans in there. It doesn't have to be full of coffee beans, but the smell of the coffee will help to clear out all the different smells. Open the bag, lean close to it and inhale deeply. You might want to do it a few times.

Might I suggest Ralph Lauren Romance also Polo *they have different versions of it now*, Kenneth Cole Black or any of the others, D and G is very very nice too, Perry Ellis, and Calvin Klein.

Those are some good smelling colognes as well. *whew* Glad to know you don't wear all of them at once or take a bath in them. You don't realize how many women are thankful for that! lol. Well what do you know, did it happen around midnight? Thats when I first thought about it. lol.

Very good cologne as well! Smells great! I can understand your reasoning for not wearing them to work. Smart man!

I don't have a favorite one, they all smell differently on different people. Go get some cologne!!!!! Have a female friend go with you to help.

Ahhhhhh, so it is. I like the "lighter" colognes, they just smell better to me. I bet you smell yummy!

Nothing on face - very bad for you.

    Saying hi!
Well hello there! lol. You don't have to put it on your face, neck and clothes work great. Also, most colognes have aftershaves or shower gel in the same scents that can be used as well.

Me personally I wear sometimes Adidas "adrenaline" for men, It is just subtle enough to be noticable but not like a slap to your nose... If I am not wearing that i am wearing Tag, axe, or bod...not expensive but they smell good...& they do not remind me so much of the old punch you in the face " HEY I JUST PUT IT ON " colognes.... But eh that is just me. lol...oh i am sorry i forgot one that is the stetson that I wear on occassion.

I like Curve for men or Polo, but I don't put a lot on. I prefer a light scent. Eternity isn't bad either.

I must admit I dont step out without a cologne maybe it was because I grew up in a seaside town so well you never wanted to take chances with the summer heat. I have tried different colognes but over these years I have stuck to two which I guess go along well with me.

1. Eternity for Men by CK - I like it cause it is masculine, light, somewhat outdoors smelling, but it has a gentle, subtle, alluring, temperament and tone to it as well. Wear it to work and well gives me a sense of confidence amongst women .. atleast the ones I am interested in like it..... and havent had any wierd response to it from others. Prefer it in spring/winter and autumn months over summer..

2. Cool Water by Davidoff - I have been using this one since high-school cause my buddy's sister worked as in perfumes sales so got my first sample from her. It has a wonderful woody and musky smell that always makes me feel fresh esp in hot weather or well summer months

Adidas does smell really good. I have a guy friend *just a regular friend too* that wears it. I don't know which one specifically though....

Careful! You might cause a cat fight at your place of employment! lol. Eternity does smell quite yummy. I remember when Cool Water first got "hot". I had a guy friend that LOVED it, then again, he loved all colognes as I do believe he bought the entire men's cologne counter home... lol.

When I was a teen & early 20's, I wore Polo. Then my signature scent became Obsession for Men since that was my other half's favorite.
I got sick of that and wanted to try something new so I went with Cool Water until this past Christmas when I recieved RL Romance as a gift, and I really like it.

As far as what I like on a woman, "Spellbound" gives me an instant hard-on. No joke. I past a woman in the grocery store wearing it, then had to cover myself with a cereal box.

come join my brothel! [post 407239]
I think most guys go through a phase where they wear Polo. lol. Obsession smells good as does Cool Water and RL Romance. I have a bottle of women's RL Romance.

Oh my! I'm sure that would have been a sight to see! I just hope the woman wearing wasn't an older lady with blue hair, that might have made it kind of inappropriate! lol. I have had a female friend telling me how she loves that perfume and I need to get some. Perhaps if it has that effect on men, then I do need to purchase it.

Oh my, I wonder how that does smell? What ever possessed you to mix those two scents? I'm intrigured now...

I worked at a department store that was closing and when they did, I got ALL the men's tester bottles. I had gobs of different colognes. I had everything from Polo, Drakkar Noir, Lagerfeld and so on. But an ex g/f gave me one scent that I always got a completment on. It was Ceruti Image( I think that is the spelling...lol). But I worked around a lot of women and it did turn a lot of heads. I need to find some more of that!

i beleive it was between 10 pm and 1 am. her boyfriend asked me about it last night.he also commented on my passing out during my birthday celebration. the bar tender swears it was the shot of 1800 that did me in. i think it was a combination of 1800, quervo, pussy tracks, beer and hennesy that did me in. those are what i remember drinking tho.

You might try online looking for it. I'm sure you will be able to find it. Might be well worth it if it turned alot of heads.
