Days go by....

Well, in my home town is the annual fair etc. I remember when I was little being in the parade. Hollering Mrs. So and So, Mrs. So and So when I would see an adult I knew. These are good memories from my childhood. Didn't realize I missed those things so much until I seen my child doing the exact same thing. Also, other children calling my name out and waving. Its a nice feeling. Seeing those I went to school with, their children and family. Made me glad to be in my home town when in the last couple of months I have been wanting to move, been tired of the people, the area, everything. I just wanted to get away. Anyone have any memories like that? Something they shared with their child/children and now have something in common with?

I can remember the annual Blueberry festival back home in Belfast, ME. We used to call it the "Dead Chicken" fair (the main industries were lobstering, Bass shoes and a chicken processing plant). I'd run in the 10K race every year, and get my hairy butt handed to me, but all my friends and family and even some of the teachers would be there to cheer me on, every year.

My last year before moving, I skippered a sloop in the rigotta - an enormous honor there! Boat captains would NEVER give up their helms for a deck hand!

And the winters! Sweet *Cheeze and RICE!* those were some cold winters. Only in Norway have I ever been that cold... But we'd have great times trying to stay sane for those 4-5 months cooped up in the house.

Thanks! There's lots of good memories in there that you just opened the door for! XX
