Look who flew in

I woke up to a cold house. So naturally I went to the wood stove to build a fire (duhhh).

As I approached, I heard a rustling noise coming from inside.

I grabbed some kindling and opened the door, expecting to kill a mouse or rat.

"Holy shit" I hollered as a RED TAILED HAWK flew out and just about crashed head on into my face. I chased it around, praying it doesn't break any of my Pre-Columbian artifacts I brought from South America that are displayed around the front room.

I lucked out and caught it.

Well everyone; meet "Hawk-eyes". Now a free bird again, floating in the wind, looking for mice.

I LOVE living way out in the boonies with no neighbors for half a mile. All the different kinds of birds. Last summer I even had a nesting pair of Idaho Rocky Mountain Blue Birds. (that's rare)

I have bob cats, coyotes, rattle snakes, blow snakes, bald eagles and a month ago a lion (cougar)in my yard. Now that's HEAVEN.

I feel sorry for people in the city. I couldn't do it. If I can't shoot my guns out my door, or mow my lawn naked, it's too crowded for me.

Oh, how cool. You do really live in the most beautifull setting. Hint; I have been there.

Well that isn't much of a hint, as many have. Especially singles, but I'm working on you. Keep hinting.
