How do YOU say goodbye?

Heard the song..."50 ways to leave your lover" today when I was flipping through the radio stations. This reminded me of a guy who didn't need to "discuss much" as the song says. He left my house one night after we had a threesome, and then virtually dissappeared. From my life anyway. No phone call. No instant message. No email. Nothing. I was very surprised because he seemed a bit more mature than this. We all got along great (me, hubby and the guy) and the sexual chemistry was definitely there. (You don't make a guy come 3 times in a couple of hours if he doesn't like you) I will never know what made him think that we were not worth an explanation.

So what do you all do? When you are done with a friend you have met for purely sexual purposes..do u just dissappear? Do u give them an explanation? (I hope) Curious to know how you say goodbye. thanks!

I've never met someone for just sex - but I would think if I had the polite thing to do would be to say goodbye, and of course a thankyou for the exciting time.

A little courtesy goes a long way. Everyone likes closure, and to not be left wondering. If he couldn't handle the situation, or didn't want to have an encore performance, he should have been a man and just said so. No long awkward drawn out explanations. If he couldn't say if to your faces, a short note or e-mail would have been sufficient and polite.
He sounds like a loser. If he couldn't appreciate the intimacy you offered him, you're better off without him. You sound like wonderful, passionate people to me.

It’s hard to say why people do some of the things they do. I think that some people forget about common courtesy when they hook up through the internet. The internet can be impersonal and anonymous and some may tend to ignore certain social graces. It’s like people in their cars. They’re isolated from other drivers, so they do and say things in their cars, they would never do in person. Again, who knows.

49erDee...thank you so much for the warm compliments. That was the thing about him. He was thankful after our first meeting. He said how it was and honor when a couple invited him into their marriage.
we met with him 3 times. Spent a lot of time together during those 3 times. Still cant believe what an ass he turned out to be. We are definitely better off with out him. No room in our lives for liars! The problem is...hard to spot them at times! Oh well...thanks again. Have a great day!

Apolybear... Yes, the internet can be impersonal and anonymous...that is why many people like it! Which is fine in its place. But not after you have met with people a few times. The internet is gone at that point. But I do understand what you are saying. Thanks! and have a great day!
