More about the Social Philosopher type

More about the Social Philosopher type

AdultFriendFinder tells me the following about my personality style, for what it's worth:

I am "an Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiver (ENFP) personality commonly referred to as The Social Philosopher."

I want to tell you a little more about what it means to be of that type.

Social Philosophers like to think things through pretty carefully, more so than the average person, and we value our respectful logical skepticism. We are peaceful but very sincere and sometimes quite intense, but in a controlled manner.

We do not tend to release our intensity and passion on a whim (with a few exceptions, maybe, cuz we're human!). We prefer to make a deep mental connection with another, because attraction is mostly a mental thing for us.

A person can get our attention with their physical beauty. But we will only find them satisfyingly attractive if we detect something in their aura that suggests we can connect with their mind. We will study their face and appearance and manner for clues as to what's inside, because it's the inside that makes us want to connect with them most.

Our most satisfying interactions with another human being occur when we feel safe enough so that we can drop our shields, and let another in, and then we can wallow in the feeling of safe connectedness.
