About this 'blogging' lark...

I've been taking a look at several people's blogs recently & several things bother me....

#1. Is it okay to visit someone's blog, say every day or every other day, & not leave a comment?

Does that make me a 'cyber-stalker'?
Their posts may be interesting or amusing but I don't know these people so where is my right to comment on their thoughts? It's like butting in to someone's private conversation.
What if they don't like my comment or mis-understand it? Think of the, un-necessary, anguish on both sides.
What if I have nothing to say about it? I can't leave a 'no-comment' comment!

#2. What am I supposed to write about in my blog?

I'm a very quiet & private person, even those that know me don't know everything about me, so I'm hardly likely to share my innermost thoughts & feelings with 2m strangers!
Amusing stories & jokes? What's funny to me may not suit someone else.
Details about meeting people from AdultFriendFinder? I don't think so! I want to see them again!
Fantasy stuff? See above!
Sport, Politics, the weather.....
Not so easy now, is it?
I also worry about not being 'clever/smart' enough, which is stupid really because I've seen some posts & thought 'I could do better than that' but, others may think that of mine.

#3. Am I going to be a better person?

I suppose, in a way, reading other people's blogs can give you a different perspective on life, you can read about their hopes & fears, learn from how they deal with 'life' to help you through yours. You can share in their successes, despair with them through their failures, laugh at their foolishness & weep at their sadness.

In conclusion I have to say that I'm really not sure that all of this 'soul-baring' is a good thing. It seems to be a modern phenomenon that I'm not sure that I want to be part of at the moment so postings here may be a little sparse for a while!

Your opinions are welcome & won't, necessarily, be deleted! lol!

Worryingly normal, Frighteningly sane and Intriguingly different!

just write and answer as you feel, very few are offended by a comment unless the comment is rude and personnal or there complete nutters.
We all seem to read what we like and leave comments here and there.
there has been some great debates with aposing views over the year on here.

if you read mine daily and said nothing i would not be offended at all as i see quite a few doing this, but to get involved in blogland you need to comment to get noticed as there are some wonderful blogs about.

have fun and write what ever

It's not in my nature to be rude, especially to people that I don't know - it's a 'Brit' thing!
