In the Mood

Ah... it's not what you think...

Although, often when I am feeling my most creative, I am also feeling my most sexual...I guess it boils down to that primal urge to create at its most basic level... Hmmm suppose they go together really. Can't say that until now I had really given it that much thought

Have any other arty type people out there noticed that?

...it's all about creating isn't it??

The past week I have had an almost overwhelming urge to get out my clay and get messy

I have this image in my mind of this sculpture that I intend on making, it is very sensual, sexual and I suspect it will take some time to complete. It is a couple.. one human the other not quite.

I love sculpting the human form and have done a few commissioned pieces.. also had one of my pastels used as the cover on a book of poetry that was published just last year (it was done as a favor for the author). But have not felt the need to create a piece for some time..

I am feeling, that this time instead of doing this in clay as my normal sculptures are done, that i will complete this and have it bronzed. Just itching to get started..

Watch this space

The pic in this blog, is one of my first pieces I ever made.

cheers all.

Dear One,

I can't get the picture to open... Damn these computers. Would it be possible to re-send the picture - I'd really like to see it.

You mean open the picture of the sculpture? I am unsure how that works. If you want to see them I am happy to email them to you.. however as I am not a paid member, you would have to email via my account.
Cheers

Creating at its most primal level... hmmm...that statement requires some deep thought...

Yeah too right Sak.

And do you find when you are in that creative mindset that you can work on your music for hours with out realising that time has gone by?

I find that when I am sculpting 6 hrs will have gone by without my knowing.. it is generally my sore back or arms that alert me to the lost time.. OR my cd's will have run out and i have to replace them..

I lose myself in music when I create... music depends on the piece I am working on...

Very primitive, earthy, rauncy, sexy.. music for some of my nudes .. or else simply something with a great beat..

I dance while I sculpt... it is an unconcious thing... I guess the closest I could say is that I sort of go into an altered state..

I love it!

In the zone... that is a very good way of describing it Sak. I like that.

I will certainly keep an eye out for those cd's.... Yours I am presuming?

Have you approached the Generator radio station here? They seem to really support local (NZ) artists...
