Yesterday...I was talking with someone who mentioned a name I remembered from 26 years ago...I asked if he owned a company I had worked for...he said he didn't know..but was going to visit him in a few minutes since he had serious surgery recently...in a few minutes..I get a call from that guy...asking my name...next thing I hear is my boss from 26 years ago on the phone...it was sooooo great...
we had great times scuba diving..parties..as well as working together. After a few more minutes...I get another call from the first guy...and he says...I made my old boss' day..and that I really should go visit him at the hospital too.
I went there and it was great...he still looked good and his wife from years ago was still there as well...It was soooo much fun...kind of surreal...I have plans to go see him again while he is in the hospital...it's really nice to know I'm often thought about and remembered kindly...by even people I use to work for years ago....

I got this great toy a couple months ago...and thought it would last a really long time since the cord plugged into the remote...the cords are always the first to go on my egg toys...
I knew the egg cord was going bad on this one..it would shut off at the most inconvenient moments...

I was hanging out with a couple of my gay guy friends today....
and one I hadn't known too much about was mentioning how hard it was for him to work 40 hours and to go to school full time...he was really attractive ...well groomed and early 20s...so...I asked where he is working since it was a new job...he says the name and we knew it was a very nice hotel on the waterfront...so to liven up the conversation...I mentioned that I had been at a local 5 star hotel the past Monday...they both knew of it...

I gathered myself and explained...that I had divorced almost exactly a year to the day...last February...and my ex's employer's office was on the top floor of this hotel...but that they had a conference this past week..and put him in a room...and he called me to come over...
by then ..we were all laughing again...and without anything more being said..they imagined...I'm sure...what could have happened...thank goodness they were gay...and probably imagining...doing my ex..instead of doing me..LOL...

My ex had a conference in town and they put him up at a local nice hotel for the evening..."fun time"...and after he left to go to the conference the next morning...I took time to look out the window at the morning sunrise...and this is what I saw...I soon left to drive home...and as I was sitting at a stop light ..I started flipping channels...and was listening to the song "I can only imagine" and I looked at the two cars in front of me...and the one on the left..was from Texas..and had a bumper sticker "Don't let this car fool you...my treasure is in heaven" with a for sale sign $3,200 on the window...the car on the right...was from Virginia...and had a license plate that said "Dos Uno" my poor spanish translated it into ..The God...lol...I know the spanish people are laughing at that one...
Some days...start out great....I can only imagine!!

If you follow my blog, then you know about my ex...and how years ago..I had a picture given to me with one adirondack chair on the beach...and I didn't want that vision so I taped another chair next to it in the picture and placed it on my mantle of my fireplace...that year I met my ex...and married 2 years later..and divorced 2 years after that...and reunited as friends this past September...
Well...I have been drawing with charcoals..portraits..for a few years...but he said I should paint seascapes....recently...so I went to the store and bought some canvas boards and acrylics..and went to it...
this is what I came up with...and I gave it to him yesterday...he says he is framing it and hanging it in his office...
The irony is...it was my vision for us...and now he has it...I wondered what that will bring into our lives...
another note on the story...over the five years we have known each other...he has built a set of adirondack chairs which sit on my front porch...and acquired a weathered set of adirondack chairs for my backyard...
It shows that there is always space for another and a nice conversation in my life...

Got my tax refund ...so went shopping and bought my new HD sony video camera...and new desktop 500gig memory...and new flat screen monitor...can't wait for them to be delivered...ordered online..so might be a few days...
on the bright side for you guys..will be able to webcam again...and won't have to worry about low lighting...
and upload the video files faster...
so in the meantime..I'll just sit here and wait for them to arrive...

I have a 1000 ideas bouncing in my head tonight...
the Egypt thing...crazy
why I have so many offers yet can't find that one that makes my heart beat twice as fast
there are 3 unfinished paintings on my floor and
2 portraits 99% done
a watercolor painting calling to me on my bed...
my tax refund came in today...and for once in years I don't have to spend it on bills
next week at work I'll train 3 new people and have a new program to learn...
the only warm place in the entire USA is here...
I feel sexier than ever but still feel like I want to lose 20 pounds
Had my annual physical...which was great but now I have an order to get a mammogram..colonoscopy...annual pap...annual skin check for cancer...(It's the year of "ME") which means I'm finally putting me first...
It's 11:30 pm...where's the silence....

I have been accused of being clingy by guys...WHY...
and what am I doing to give this impression...
I have many offers to go out and I enjoy going out even by myself especially to events where I already know a bunch of people that are going to be there. I have lots of activities in my life and lots of friends that I could go out with on any given day....BUT
I CHOOSE to keep my closest relationship to a minimum...is this bad...
You would think that if someone is saying they want to be with you...that they want to be with you...not for a lifetime but today...but if it doesn't fit their schedule then you are being clingy if you ask to be with them on your schedule.
Sometimes I think I should just go to group gatherings or out by myself and see what pops up while out and about..rather than trying to spend it with friends...
