Don't stay Down

It was July 4, 2002. I had just finished my eight month divorce and was sitting in my aparment complex in upper Manhattan. All around people were cooking out or family just having a good time.I was a little upset and decided to go have a drink at the local bar.Once I got there I was just finishing my drink when all of sudden,I looked across the street and saw my ex-wife with a man in his mid-30s holding him and kissing him.I was infurated that I knocked my glass down as I stormed out.On they way home, I decided to blow off some steam and took the long way home.On my way home I caught up to a women that was 28 with brown hair,a tight dress, and pullover coat. She was nearly tripping over her high heels, and didn't know look like she knew she was going. So I worked up my courage and decided to walk her home. It's turns out she knew to the city and really didn't know her way around. On the way to her house we had one the best conversations I'd had in a long time.It startled me that it grew chilly, she clinged to my arm.She was really head over heels for me complimenting me on everything and staring into my eyes whenever I talked, and it was there when it occured to me that after all these years I still had real good game.So when we finally got to her 2-bedroom house just 5 blocks south of were I lived, where all of sudden she leaned in and kissed.Without even thinking I pulled her in closer and we started to make out.The next moring I woke over-joyed to find the both of us tangled up in the sheets and holding on to each other. It was at this moment where I finally realized to not stress of something that's already gone, and just let the universe tend to unfold as it should.
