Let's see, can we say Road Rage?

Yesterday I was heading back up to Wisconsin to pick my mom up from an 8 day visit with my brother. As I got near the bypass around town, I was in the outside lane as I should of been. A blue pickup truck was coming off the bypass and was accelerating into the inside lane. We were the only 2 vehicles around.

Well as the truck gets up to speed, it is now running side by side with me and all I can see is both hands flying in anger. This driver is a woman, obviously irratated and as she gets past my car she swerves directly in front of me as if to send some sort of message. The hands continue to fly and I get shown the State Bird!!! I'm laffing and thinking wtf?

We are nearing a traffic light and I notice this truck is slowing way down and is wanting to hold me up and make me make a lane change, which I end up doing. As I pass her and she is turning I return the bird to her and lay on the horn. Well she stops her turn and comes back out onto the highway and the road rage is on. She is probably going 90 mph by now to get up to me and she is still flying her hands all over and driving erratically.

This woman i can see has a major attitude. She is literally spittin on her side window. I can read her lips. She is saying and moving arms to pull over. Don't think I wasn't tempted because I was. But pissing matches aren't my cup of tea. She kept trying to force me over but I just ignored her and she finally gave up after 8 miles. I just had to laugh and say WTF? WTF? WTF?

Do any of you have any road rage stories? Care to share?

Meek & mild on the road. Problem with the States is you never know who has a handgun in the glove compartment. And just who's crazy enough to use it.

I have no intention of becoming that kind of statistic. Another kind, maybe, but not that kind

rte 95 coming home from work - traffic was heavy and it was stop and start

i was in the fast lane and a truck almost rear ended me when i braked - two girls talking and not paying attention - i looked in the rearview and sort of did a head shake - like "helllloooo, pay attention"

they started cussing and following me through lane changes, etc - for about 10 miles, coming close, throwing stuff out the window at me

luckily, i had my cellphone so i called highway patrol and told them the next exit number - imagine my relief when i saw them pull on about two cars ahead of me - as they pulled the truck over - about 15 cars started honking and waving - apparently a lot of folks called in - and as i passed the girls - i smiled sweetly and shot them the bird

very scary tho

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Apparently the word "yield" has no meaning here in Ohio, as it seems to mean "floor it and beat the guy on the highway". I have lived all over the globe as an ex military wife, but the worst drivers I have ever seen are here.
This young chick is coming on the right side and clearly passes a yield sign as she is gunning it, and its one of those situations where I myself need to get to that right lane to exit and turn. So, I slow down to let the maniac get on the highway and she in turn slows down and I see a major crunch so either one of needs to move or its crunch time, so I gun it to get the hell out of her way and she goes bananas, flips me the bird, screaming and yelling, and follows me off the exit, she is beeping horn and mking an ass of herself behind me theough one or two lighs, and im ignoring her which pisses her off. Finally she pulls up to my left, and her and her frined have the window down and are screaming and being ridiculous, I sat there eyes straight ahead as though Im deaf dumb and blind, and thenas my light changes and I pass her, I turn and give hera condescending smile and flip her the bird. The image of her shrieking as I toodled down the road just cracked me up, and I wouldnt be surprised if she didnt circle the area trying to find me after her light changed. what a moron!
Excellent finelady, that's a deja vu to mine. *hugs*

LOL And as I sit here reliving yours and my experinces, WTF is only thing that comes to mind. But yes, being we were the only two vehicles none of what happened made any sense. My guess someone pissed in her Wheaties and I was just the lucky one to be who she was going to take her frustration out on.
