I didn't know you spoke Japanese...

Funny story about reading someone's profile online. Year or so back, I was browsing match. Glanced at a ladies picture and realized I knew her. She walks her dog in my neighborhood.

Day or so later I run into her. "Hey! I didn't know you spoke Japanese". "Not very well" she says, "How did you....." Then she figured it out. BTW, she ended up meeting a nice guy there and getting married.

Anybody know or seen someone out and about that has an ad on AdultFriendFinder? Not a meeting, but just bumping into someone that you recognize from the site.

I have twice.

I'd never post a picture and this is part of the reason.

(Flipside is if I know/like you, I know/like you regardless. KS had a date before a pic. Asked him to not wear pants so I'd recognize him, he sent a photo instead--go figure.)

And can you imagine how quickly rumors would spread? "Oh my, did you read Sara's blog? You know, the computer hurts my eyes so I printed it. I have it in my car."

Low-key stuff might not be so bad, but if I want low key, I'll put an ad on a different site.

Well, outside of the military folks, state government and the two big insurance companies, this is actually a small town. I see people weekly that I know out shopping or what not. Another thing, I tend to really look at folks and I rarely forget faces or names.

SK5, that was interesting. I went and ran a search on my hometown, just too big I guess and we've all aged.

One lady and I did the exchange email addresses, pictures and emails before the common drifting off thing. Never did meet or talk on the phone. Recognized her at lunch one day, though I didn't introduce myself.
