Discovering You

Often we shy away from things about ourselves that would portray us in a less then flattering light. It's easier to blame someone else..."its their fault i did this, or i acted this way" or "well if they had done this or not done that" etc....we play the victim. Its easier and it garners us sympathy. Now a smarter person (which i can be at times) would instead say.." wow...i did act that way...or i did handle that wrong...or wow...i have been playing the victim"..."i'm gonna work on that"....and faces it head on...makes no excuses, blames no one but themselves and does what they need to do to turn it around. Easier said then done huh? you betcha! But here's the thing...I've often said that i want to be the best woman i possibly can be...whether its on the outside or on the inside so guess what that means? When i see these things...i HAVE to address them, find the roots, dig them up and toss them from my life...and stop expecting change...real change to be so the next time you discover something about yourself that you don't like...don't run away from it...face with it...and then look in the mirror and realize that the face staring back at much better for it here's to discovering our faults...they're what make us human and keep us growing! luv and hugs to all....and a big "i'm sorry" to those two particular people i've been blaming happy...noc2

Very sane advice! This is something I've been struggling with lately and it's good to know I'm not the only one.
