Okay, I can see the idea behind Winks. It draws someone's attention to you and shows that that person has a mild interest. Mild because adding to a Hotlist is obviously one step up and inviting the top level before contact.

But what is the point?

I'm getting winks from Sri Lanka, India, the United States, Canada. Wonderful. I can look at their profile, perhaps rate their pictures when any are there, and that's it. Why does someone wink at me instead of sending me a contact mail?

Come to that, why am I on so many Hotlists with people who also don't make any form of contact. Don't they trust themselves, or do they realise that they're really well outside of my range (distance wise, not necessarily as far as compatability goes) and can't take it any further?

maybe they are shy or they are just checking you out. waiting for new info, pictures or something else. i never really saw the point of the hotlists anyways.

The first day I was on here I browsed profiles and bookmarked em with the hotlist. The second day I browsed and wrote letters. I still haven't gone back to that hotlist file from the first day. Hmm, I wonder who's on it?

Maybe it is because they are not a paid member. I know its hard for me to send email at times.
