To pass the time.

Today is a stay at home and write letters day. With my second computer only just returning to life, the replacement of a network card having taken considerably longer than I had hoped for, I have quite a few things to catch up on. Naturally, I might have written my letters by hand and, indeed, I have written several letters in pen and ink during the last few weeks. However, those still waiting to receive letters from me are not at the stage of understanding English where I could simply jot down thoughts on paper and stick them in an envelope.

My first letter, however, is a business one. A woman from Southern Germany who sent me goods through an insured parcel service which arrived broken, but hadn't insured them. The court case has already come to a successful conclusion - for me, that is - and now the woman has declined to pay the damages and the costs. Within the next fortnight or so she'll receive a visit from the court Bailiff in her town, and discover that German courts are not easily amused when it comes to ignoring a court order or failing to pay. Fortunately the sum involved attracts interest, so I am hardly likely to lose out should it take longer than I had hoped for.

The other letters will be wending their way to Hungary and the Czech Republic in the morning (yes, post does get collected here on Sundays still!), and have much happier contents.

Perhaps, when the pleasures of writing are completed, I shall log back into AdultFriendFinder and see what's happening in the rest of the world. Perhaps I'll gather a few of my possessions and go out for the night. We shall see.

Watch this space (or one very near it!).
