Time to celebrate!

It has always been a thing for me; find any excuse possible to open a bottle of champagne and get down to some serious celebrating. It doesn't matter what the occasion, there is bound to be some reason to celebrate.

Right now I am looking at my Blog figures and thinking 'we're coming up to a round figure here'. The comments are fast approaching 500 - they're at 492 as I read this - and 500 is the sort of number that is written on at least one bottle down in my cellar.

Of course, I might just be able to celebrate 200 posts in my Blog shortly too, we're not all that far off either. However, it has to be on a different day. Two celebrations with only one bottle are not acceptable in my book. Perhaps that's why I've always hoped that, should I be graced with any more children, and should they be twins, they get born one minute to either side of midnight. That's neat and tidy, and two celebrations worth.

Today won't be a champagne bottle for 500 comments, though. Today is a bottle of finest red to close of the first section of my New Project (mentioned in an earlier Blog post). The first part is completed, and there are only two more to finish to make the whole. Actually, the publisher is looking for a couple of pieces of poetry too, concerned with the subject I noted in my post, but poetry is not my thing as far as writing goes. Anyone interested?

By the way, nights, u can always open a double bottle of champagne for a double celebration (im not sure, but i believe its the kind of celebratory stuff the Red Baron used to have)

dz2502: I'm not too clued up on the Red Baron, but I do recall that one of them always flew with a lion cub in the cockpit. Double champagne is fun, when I have a magnum or so in the cellar to celebrate with, but I'm mainly on my own at home, so perhaps it would be a touch too much for one evening ...

I commented here earlier today but it has disappeared. I hate when that happens.

I went searching for the post you mentioned but could not find it in the clutter of your basement. Can you give me some directions?
