It's not just books ...

It's not just the printed word that I love, and which brings me completely away from the path I wish to travel. I have a soft spot for figures of cats too, especially when carved in wood and, of course, a weakness for historical items which come from the area I live in.

Today I've spent a good two hours checking through eBay for cats, and my specialist collecting area, and I've managed to put a few more transactions across my bank account to improve the collections.

Maybe I ought to switch this computer off completely and concentrate more on my writing and the other computer, but there is just something compelling about browseing, surfing, searching. I wasn't going to do anything like that today, after all, it is Sunday, but I received a mail from a close friend of mine who has his own auction platform - a regional auctions house for this area - and since he is revitalising it I thought I'd put in my little bits and pieces too. That got me back on the Internet, and back onto the surfing kick and, of course, back to buying things.

Dang it's a good thing my house is so big!

Amazing how the computer can move us to doing things we were not planning on doing. eBay can be just as addictive as AdultFriendFinder. I guess lately I just find the latter more compelling.

I find eBay, Amazon and Wikipedia compelling; there hardly seems to be a moment when I'm not thinking of something that I could be doing in one or other of those three. Inbetween times I'm thinking about what to write in one of my Bloogs, either here or elsewhere.
