Traveling through the woods one day

Iam extremely sleepy need to go to bed but I cant yet...whoa is me...

Anyway...I got to thinking about a game I used to play. Called EVERQUEST....Oh man when I first got this game I thought it was awesome....my cousin and I shared an account Since I was the one with the computer, the game and the broad band connection he got to pay the membership. He had a think about gnomes...dont ask me why statistically they suck..anyway his high level character was gnome rogue...My high level character was a Dark Elf Shadow knight (think the opposite of a Paladin) Now when I first played I was hooked...I lovde playing it for about 8 to 12 hours a day on the days I had nothing else to do...I would sacrifice sleep too...Anyway...I had died once in an area that was hard to get to...and when you die..you have to retrieve your corpse in order to get all your gear back...well LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING...In that zone where I had died..there were 20 or so corpes of ME...I tried asking a higher up for help but of course got none....SO I quit playing...

About a month later. Some of my other friends wanted to start playing...so I made a new Shadow Knight Dark Elf...I got him to Level 15 in a single night...where as before it took me a month just to get to level 20...Well anyway I helped my friends level up and I give them items since out of everyone I was the highest level but now here comes the kicker when I finaly decided to quit playing EQ and any EQ like game....When you get to level 40 everything changes...you can no longer solo creatures and get experience...the creatures that give out expereince are extremely hard. Now unless you actaully made a name for yourself among the other player at being a good tank, healer, buffer, puller etc...you where not really allowed in groups. For the life of me I could not find a group for a couple days now...and I was an AWESOME tank and puller. So I decided to solo for awhile and if any class can solo its the Shadow Knight...I had gathered alot of junk that I needed to sell..well the nearest bank was 2 zones away...I think well..I should go ahead and dump my junk...The little did I know that in the next zone would be the moment that would seal the fate of me continueing to play this game.

It is a heavly wooded area. Its easy to completely pass by the zone enterance and its easy to get lost in. Even people who know the zone well seem to get lost sometimes...Well as Im walking through the woods a giant spawns right behind me. So I run alittle bit away from the spawning point and then have at him...now for a level 40 guy most giants arent too much trouble except for these...after the battle I get some decent money but I only have one bubble of health which means I needed to rest. I was also low on mana. To I meditate to regain my health and mana...when BAM out of no where right on top of me spawns another giant...I cast fear on it to make it run away and then I sit and meditate some more hopeing to get enough health to fight again...well I got about half of my health when he starts running back...So I fear him again and start looking for the zone...because I was out of mana and wasnt going to have enough to cast it again nor enough health to defeat the brute..

So Im frantically looking for the zone..a couple minutes later Im being pounded on by the gaint again...so I stand and fight because I may get lucky and win..but running away will be death for sure because hes faster than me..Well I died...Now..here is the kicker...when you respawn you need to bind yourself to the nearest town OR you will automatically spawn at your home city...well guess what...no bind...I have to spend the next HOUR makaeing the trip back to where I was. And HOUR REAL TIME mind you...I stop at the nearest town before I went to get my body to see if anyone would be nice enough to give me a bind...3 hours (real time) later I decided screw it Im just going to get my body....well thankfully because of my class I can find my body in no time...so Im headed in that direction...and BAM...lone and behold another fucking giant and I dont have my gear so there is no way I can take him...So what happend next....I died....AGAIN...So....about 2 hours later I found my body...I gathered my stuff and logged out...I logged back in only to give away my equipment to a friend...(very bad ass equipment that I shouldnt of even had yet at my level) thus ended my time playing ANY game the remotely resemble everquest....like World of Warcraft...wont even try it...or even Star Wars Galaxies...no forget it if I cant get to the highest level withough depening on being grouped with others than forget it I will stick to War Craft 3 thank you...and this conculdes my I hate Everquest post...why I posted this I do not know...Im sleepy like I said...

And in real life there are different rules for different people, too.

I have seen one person punished for doing the exact same thing someone else was promoted for doing. Maybe I just don't really understand all of the rules yet.

Most people are other people... FUCKING CHARACTER LIMIT!!! ~Oscar Wilde

oh man night, i so feel your pain!!!! I always wanted to play that and warcraft, the reviews for them were just badass! But alas, im a loser and am yet to own my own home PC. sometime this year perhaps. I do love to play RPGs and have "Knights of the Old Republic I and II" for Xbox. I built my jedi up (who was cast out of the order and has to rebecome one, and also fight a quarter of the game with no lightsaber, no freaking lightsaber!!! that just blows). So i FINALLY get enough experience after 6hours of straight play to build the damn thing when WHAM! i get shot in the back of the fucking head by a mercenary and die.

and the dumbshit that i am, forgot to save the game for the 6HOURS that i put in, and didnt have the auto save on! *shaking head* fucking video games man.

Spin - on constant in the universe is that real life is hardly ever fair...thats been my experience

dasher - trust me..its not worth it...I heard good things about Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft but EQ is NOT worth it...and EQ 2 from what I understand is even worse...Now as far as saveing I think Ive done that with just about every game I play...recently would be Blood Omen 2...I had a good 4-5 hours put in and thought autosave was on...it wasnt...so now I have two bosses to kill all over again...

Angelgrrl - Thats about how long I put in...time I wish I could get back...

I'm not into games like Everquest and the like. I like fast action. Though, I do like some RPGs.

I am forever a slave to the Zelda series.

I just bought Fable. I kinda like that one.

As I noted in my blog, I love compilations. Midway, Namco, Capcom, and the MegaMan Collections.

Been playing Smackdown vs Raw a lot as of late. Tonight, I missed Smackdown on TV coz I was playing the game. LOL

And, yes, I'm a Final Fantasy VII veteran.

I don't have patience for stealth games. Remember Manhunt? I bought that just to help boost the sales of the game. But I don't have the patience to sneak around and strike when I see my opportunity. Though the game was creatively designed.

Tomorrow, I return to GM mode in Smackdown, playing one card I set up for my progressively dwindling audience, (you'd think I was running WCW) but it's the last hurrah before Wrestlemania. LOL Then the game year starts again. I hate when multiple contracts expire all at the smae time. Grrr. Oh well. The next game year should be better. LOL

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

nick - Fable Oh I like that one..you will enjoy that one its awesome...OH and just so you know...you can get married and have a woman in each town They give you gifts every now and then and gold....but its really hard to get a wife if you're evil...There are some things that I think they could have done to improve that game but its a good game I hope they make another one. and yea Zelda rules one of my favorites.

Manhunt though...I barely played it 5 minutes when I quit...it was just plain stupid...for a stealth game it was terrible....Nothing beats Metal Gear Solid Im sorry but thats not the worst game Ive played..the game I couldnt stand was actaully kind of in the survival horror area...it was called Clock Tower for the PS1...I think they have 3 of them now...terrible series..and I gave up on the Final Fantasy series after 8....I didnt like 8 and it seemed liek the rest just went down hill..I might try 10 though...Since I can just barrow it from my neice..shes still a big fan of Final Fantasy....but dont worry about haveing no life...you are definately not alone bro

I played 10 halfway through, but I could not stay interested. The girl, Yuna, for some reason, reminded me of a stripper I knew. I don't know why.

I tried courting girls in Fable, and I had one follow me from town to town. Was trying to get down with her, but, like in reality, failed miserably. LOL

There's one game I grabbed when I had the chance. It's called Thousand Arms on the PS1, and it's not only an RPG, but a dating sim, the first of it's kinds ever to be released in America. The characters are drawn good, and the way your party is set up, there are more girls than guys. I bought it coz I'd read about it before, and it had sparked my interest. And, it was there. Had to grab it. LOL

Nick - There is also a evil temple that you can take your wife to and sacrifice her to the evil god for a specail item...In order to get a wife though you need to buy a house first....there is one for sale in each town...however I discovered that if you kill the owners of respective building OR business you can buy it and own it and collect rent...I owned almost all of each town except the main one...you cant do that in that one main town...you know the one where they disarm you....but all the others you can LOL..I had fun with that game..
