PAIN is my friend

Let me know Im still ALIVE

Well Ive been still battleing with my knee this past week...It seems to be fightin back the bastard needs to do what its told damnit

I had to skip my leg workout I had planned today. Takeing the advice of Division77
I was going to do some squats with just my body weight like I did last week...Well I uped the pace of my walk yesterday and it hurt alittle afterwards so I iced it for a bit then showered. This morning it was a hurting big time...swelled up a bit. Throughout the day it got better Its alittle tender but ok. I think I will give it the day off to make sure I dont over do it...which I really hate to do because missing one work out is a workout I cant get back which means that the true enemy...this belly of mine has one day of victory I think I will instead go for a walk at least...perhaps slow my pace a bit...so at least I can burn something...

As far as other aspects of ME...havent been doing much as far as the dateing department goes. On my walk I got stopped by a drunken woman who presumed to flirt with me in her drunken stooper...she was definately not my type...and there is no way I would go for a lush anyway...Its fine to drink in moderation...but when you become dependant on it that only shows how week you are in which case is a complete turn off for me. Now I know Ive said I drink and Ive gotten drunk a few times..but its not an everyday thing nor is it even a weekend thing its a annual thing if that...maybe 3 times a year at the very most...my Birthday, New years, and if I attend a party...and on those times I rarely drink to be outright plasterd. Enough to get alittle buzz and thats it...the only time I get shit-faced is if someone challenges me then you better watch out. But anyway...its not a good idea to approach me when Im training....I SERIOUSLY hate being interupted...I dont mind if I can keep going but if I have to STOP for you then I get annoyed...and its even worse if Im weight training...you might get a barbell thrown at you. I can work with a partner and such. I perfer to not talk too much unless to pretains to the workout...I prefer to concentrate all my focus on lifting. When you break that you will often get a earful of profanities I hate it when people break my rhythm.

Anyway that is the exstent of my dateing adventures lately...a drunken woman hit on me...yay...

I'm trying to get into my routine. I didn't work out for a whole week, due to the heat. We had a heat wave that might not be gone yet, but when the heat comes on, I am drained. I hope the heat goes away soon.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

pk - Yea I know what you mean..hardcore drunken party chicks may have been right up my alley years ago...but not so much anymore.

Nick - Thats understandable...if its above 80 degrees and you are not used to the heat..you can easliy have a heat stroke which is uncool. Ive worked out to the point of puking quite a few times...and then continue after a breather...and Ive overheated to the point of getting a bloody nose from it pretty sweet huh...

ohbaby - Well looking at it from a bums prospective drunk or not he really doesnt lose either way. On the one hand he get a feel from a hot woman...on the other if said woman presses charges and he gets arrested...he gets a free meal and a roof over his head for a few days...so...to him its a win/win situation

nightstalker,

On your squats, focus on the negative portion of the exercise so you get the full range of motion and the knee can better withstand the weight.

The point is to build up stability.

If the squats bother the knee, don't walk at all.

If you have to choose, do the squats instead of the walk.

You might want to focus on cutting back total calories at the same time as upping your workouts as that will definitely burn more fat.

This goes without saying: No fastfood, no pasta.

Awww I was once upon a time a drunken woman hitting on a stranger in Pioneer Square outsaide one of the many pub crawl bars ont he ten for a single fee deal. Its not always bad but I hear you. I go out still to this day and I don't get hit on nor do I try though, I go to dance. You were somewhat local so i wanted to say hey since you live in my hometown and I'm up there frequently

I lived in Seattle proper (born in a hospital on Capitol Hill) and if you're down in Sea tac I am hoping you stay safe. When I lived out there we got jacked in our parking lot. Are you Sea tac or Federal Way area?

I know Des Moines...... Its on the West side of I-5 from Kent. Personally I head towards the valley to Kent because I have friends who live over there but when i was looking for a scenic drive I would get as close to the sound as I culd and drive through Des Moines. I was just up that way like a week or so ago
