Bondage VS Sadism and Masochism

Some people have thought these two things are one in the same. However they are not and I'm here to tell you the differences between the two

Bondage

Bondage has nothing to do with being aroused by pain. Bondage is about being helpless or dominated by someone. You don't always tie the person up and beat them. You tie them up and do things to them. anywhere from giving them oral pleasure to tickling them with a feather. Being restrained for some can intensify an orgasm.

Sadism

Sadism is the act of inflicting pain unto someone else. You enjoy cause that person to scream and cry. You enjoy Dominating them. Of course there are different levels of domination. But a sadistic dominate is all about causing pain

Masochism

Masochists are indeed a rare breed. They thrive on being in pain. They may scream they may bleed but they LOVE IT. They live for it. They enjoy waiting to see what their master will do to them next.

Now some people think that bondage and S&M are one in the same. They are not. They can and often are done together but they are still distinctively different.

To be in the S&M lifestyle if you are new its often best to consult someone to train you. The dominates or sadists are trained to know how to read what the submissive wants and how to properly hurt someone without actually causing perminate damage. Sounds weird I know LOLA but its true. To be the Submissive or Sub..the Masochist side of things there is no real training involved you just have to like pain.

To be in the bondage lifestyle its allot easier. Its pretty easy to get handcuff or some kind of restraints to keep movement of the submissive to a minimum. With that its more simple giving control of your pleasure to someone else rather than actually liking pain. However it is a good idea to consult someone to help train you so you don't tie them too tight as to cut off circulation that's bad for you...some people like it but that's someone you should get proper teaching on.

My point is Bondage isn't all about whips and chains and beating someone, that's S&M. Allot of people who never tried it assume that its painful everytime. That's S&M not Bondage. bondage is about restraint not about pain. I hope this help clear any misconceptions...granted I'm not a seasoned master or anything this is just my take on it from what I've read and done.

First, thanks for your helpful comments regarding my profile viewing question. Also, thanks for clearing up the difference between S&M and Bondage. I find bondage and masochism facinating, but never realy met anyone that was into it. I've participated in some light bondage with soft rope and a blind fold on my girl. I thought it was really fun to tease her to the brink of orgasm time and time again, and she wasn't able to do anything about it. Sadly, she felt uncomfortable about reciprocating, so i've never really got to experience it for myself. Anyway thanks again.

There is also a form of bondage that is almost like art.
The poses and the placement of the silk ropes are amazingly beautiful. I don't find them erotic, just absolutely stunning.
I think it originated in Japan, as all the books I have seen on it are Japanese except for one by Midori in California.
The pen and ink works of Michael Manning are also very beautiful in their depiction of bondage and corsetting. "Spider Garden" is especially notable.
I'm not into it myself, but my sister is in a local group and loves to embarrass her "baby" brother with her tales.
(Eyes shut, hands over ears, stomping feet, "Mom! She's doing it again!")
The S&M, dom/sub lifestyles also don't appeal to me personally; but I don't knock it, as many seem to enjoy it at their own levels of comfort. Again with the big sis stories.

BTW Thanks for your post. I feel better now.

That sounds very interesting, Japanese you say?........Who is Midori (surely you don't mean the vivacious ebony porn star), if you don't mind me asking? Not to be rude or crude, but your sister sounds fun. Does she have a blogor regularly contribute to a Magazine article?

Big Sis is a trip. I wont even go into her leather closet: uh, I mean tell you about her leather closet; uh, I don't go into it either. I always get myself into trouble when I talk about her.
She confines all her activities to the real world, and she has shown me autographed photos of her meeting Dr. Ruth.

Midori is or was a well known spokeswoman for S&M and B/D in some circles. Maybe an online search would turn up something about her. One of her books was illustrated by Michael Manning, and I think they both live in San Francisco.

Sorry about using your blog for a chat, NS. I hope you don't mind.

Spine - I know how you feel..my nephew had this GF one time and she just LOVE telling everyone all about him LOL...I dont hit women but I so wanted to slap to make her stop LOL

Hydra - Some people just cant handle being in that dominate position..not much you can really do about it...Me on the other hand I like both...but perfer to be dominate...but most people who aer one typcially dont like the other...so ones that like both roles are rare indeed

Angel - It fun trust me...just be clear that you dont like any pain..OR you could be the dominate and have lots of fun..and thank you for the compliment
