Bathroom door

Maybe it's me, but I hate when people close the bathroom door when they are finished. I am talking about in peoples homes when they have guests over. I always end up standing outside the door waiting for the person inside to finish, but many times I am wasting my time. When I finally decide to knock and find there is no one there, I have already wasted valuable time. Lets get real. The reason a bathroom door at a pary is closed is because it is being used. Open means available. Why do people close the door when they ar done? Are they afraid of their smell spilling into the party or maybe the they think bathrooms should not be seen? I don't know, but I find it a pain in the butt. So, let me know. I know, I know...I can always knock immediatly, but I know people hate to receive a knock when they are doing their bussines and I don't want to put them through that trouble.
Bathroom doors should always remain closed
Bathroom doors should always be open unless in use

To me a bathroom is a very personal area of the home. My home like most peoples has two bathrooms, I don't even like my children or my parents to come into my bathroom. I have a guest or a second bathroom for them to use. I like my privicy.

Perhaps I do not understand your problem, but that will be because I am from the continent; are you talking about a bathroom door or a toilet room door?

For me:
Toilet door is always closed
Toilet door is locked when I use it
When I visit another house, I never knock, i just walk in, since it will be locked if in use.

The BATHroom door is always open in our house, also when in use ...
