Why pick on Me?

I have recently discovered that most of the people in my life find teasing me to be the main source of their amusement.

I have two teenage sons, they both think that when they get me riled it is the funniest thing since they pushed each other out of a tree..and they give each other 10 points for getting me super irritated and then making me laugh...If they can do THAT then everyone gets to laugh...

I have a grown son, who I am convinced THINKS UP ways to irritate me because he says I am just hilarious when I am trying to be serious with him.

I have a close girlfriend who takes turns with another friend on "zingers" because I "always seem so SHOCKED by it and that is funny!"

Ok, so something about my face is funny when it's mad... So, I can't stay mad at ANYbody for long...especially if they are laughing...

I'll not get upset about this...most of the time, I enjoy a little teasing too...But MUST I always be the target????

But NOW, my new Man-of-Moment....has started...

It's a new relationship...it's a fun relationship...it's GREAT SEX.... but it's still new....still unsure... so I "fall for" his tricks quite completely! Why does this man who is otherwise intelligent and accomplished risk losing me by pissing me off? "You're just so cute when you get mad"

What kinda answer is THAT I ask you?

I grew up in a family where teasing was a form of affection... it was an ice breaker. I think it is a cultural thing with some people, I know it is with me. I often make fun of myself first, not the other person because like yourself... if the person isn't raised with this way of "affection" it can pretty hard to deal with. My own wife was raised in a different culture... and she is truly offended by some of the things my family will say to one another. It doesn't bother me at all. My only advice is to sit down and have a stright talk with your partner. Make sure he really understands how you feel... and if he cant respect that... or you can't come to terms with it... well...
