Road Trip....

I didn't drive until I was 40...my family didn't have a car...in fact when I was growing up not every household owned a car...and if they did it was mainly just a one car family and the man mostly drove...so when I got married at 19...my husband drove...unforunately, he was very controlling and wouldn't allow me to drive which wasn't a problem because we lived in the city and I could walk or ride the bus most places I needed to go...but then he moved us to the boonies...no buses...I was stuck pretty much out in the middle of no where...I would have to beg rides from friends...and even strangers when my kids played sports...my marriage had been disintegrating for a lot of years...and honestly, I just waited around until the kids were grown...but when I hit 40 (the age my mother died which might have some baring on my decision) I said to myself I can't live and die this way anymore...my husband made a lot of money...and he was generous in the area...so on the days he made scheduled trips out of town every week...I had a driving school pick me up and teach me to drive...and they even took me to get my license...I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get my license...a simple privilege so many take for granted...but something I had wanted and waited for so many years...that was also the first step in the process of gaining my freedom....

HI MOON UNIT,,, IF YOU WERE IN THE BOONIES,,,, YOU HAVE HAD TO HAD A QUAD RUNNER OR A MULE OR SOMETHING,,,,,,,,,I`M TEASING,,,, WE DO SET TOO MANY LIMITS ON OURSELF WHICH MOST OF THE TIME HAVE NO INDEX. THAT`S WHY I FEEL GROUP SEX IS SO IMPORTANT,,, IT`S UNCOMFORTABLE,, YET MIND EXPANDING. 20 STRANGERS IN A ROOM WITH SELF DOUBT WONDERING IF THEY CAN PERFORM AND DO THEY LOOK ALRIGHT. GEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ. RELAX...........SLURP---LEE--------DING

I didn't drive until I was 28 because I lived in a big city and public transport was so readily at hand. Even so, now I wonder why I left it so late because I enjoy both driving and the freedom it offers. If your partner can drive there are so many advantages and long journeys become both easier and safer. I can understand how you felt so trapped. Generosity has to extend far beyond money and things.

warm xx

Moonfire, to be honest with you, any man that would hold someone back from having a life of their own, is no man at all. I understand that times change, but, to actually embrace the prejudices of the past is heinous. I take my hat off to you and toast you for being strong enough to get out of that situation. Take care.

ZZTodd: thank you...I spent many years a bird in a gilded cage...I am so happy now...just being free...I have no problem taking reponsibility for my decisions...owning my fate...

I've never let anyone control my personal freedoms... not because I'm a prick or anything, but I choose to avoid the possibility of blaming someone else for my bad decisions. I know that others, many others don't have the luxury of being in control of their own destinies/choices, and so I applaud those (like you) who finally take charge of themselves... to make a stand against sometimes overbearing odds.

Now taking nominations for a feelthy cranium and/or an early Halloween …

Sometimes I feel for no reason, but thinking of you gives me plenty of reasons.
