Don't push that button....

As time goes on...do we learn more? Sometimes I think I forget as much as I learn...lol...I am a super analyzer...I take very few things at face value...I have been told that I would make a good psychologist...because I can stand back and be objective and see the whole picture...and I am a great digger of intentions...why that reaction?...what made someone say or do that?...we are all preprogramed...as time goes on...as life goes on...we are a culmination of our past experiences and we store reactions...and then someone comes along unintentionally and hits those buttons...and bam! a reaction...sometimes an over reaction...and of course the other person doesn't have a clue...and sometimes the person reacting doesn't have a clue either...and because each one of our experiences are so different we don't know where the landmines are...that's why it is imperative we examine ourselves and our motivations...and also communicate to those around us...I believe the more we know about ourselves the more we understand about others...

Do you analyze things?

Have you had someone hit your buttons?

Do you react or do you think first?

kind thoughts,
Moonfire

Between the inconceivably big and the inconceivably small, there's an area where everything is perfectly conceivable. It takes movement to cover distance but movement alone is not enough ... you also need something called directions or logistics… perhaps even an inate sense of direction. Motivation is rarely the problem. Do we really have anything better to do than to attempt to communicate?

Bloody true all that. A bloke must admit that the more I age, the more I know, and the more I know, I know I know the less.

Good post - you've got me reflecting on this one, moonfire ......

I have a Homer Simpson mug with the words, "Every time I learn something new, something old falls out of my brain!"

I'm pretty analytical. Whenever I fly I replay every flight in my mind figuring out what I did really well and what could have been done better, for example, and my professional work requires a high level of analysis about people. But on a private interpersonal level I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt on the first call, but will be very analytical and enquiring about continuing traits.

I'm a pretty typical easygoing Taurean but if you want to see this bull charge there are certain things that do press my buttons big time. I can't abide bullies, people who do others down and road rage.

And being a Taurean I do, on the whole, think first ......

warm xx
