Has it only been a week?

I languished in, no, sought obscurity.
If no one knows I'm here, no one rejects.
In namelessness I found security
But all the doubts that namelessness projects.
You smiled on me. You bravely took a chance.
You boldly told me I was the first one.
Your hands in mine, and asking just to dance
You led me, blinking, back into the sun.
Where I have found acceptance. Let this serve
As thanks. With doubts no more do I contend.
My only only struggle now is to deserve
You all, you most magnificent of friends.
And to my muse, a greater measure still
Of favors to repay. Doubt not I will.

I, for one, want to go back into obscurity. It's easier on my heart.

I am glad you have emerged from it's depths.

Obscurity carries it's own pains, darlin'. They're just less public. I'm sorry this sonnet find you hurting.

Take care.

I've always been a light person, I don't like the dark. While you may find security and/or obscurity in the dark thats all you will find, that and loneliness, nothing ventured nothing gained is pretty much self assured.
As for who bravely took the chance??? I think you need to look in the mirror.
Returning your fortune cookie wisdom and free advice, now lets see if I can get this right today.

I wish I could take credit for my own renaissance, but as the end of my marriage looms near, I found myself falling into old, isolationist habits, that kept me alone and bitter for 6 years after the end of my 1st marriage.

No, salvation, at least in this case, came from without.

Obscurity has its merits.

Isolation has none that come to mind.

Let me drive. I like the view
