There comes a time in every struggle when determination serves no purpose and becomes an end unto itself.

Knowing when to move on to the next issue is a skill possessed by many calm people!

yes...i believe this is part of it. strength becomes weakness, and weakness becomes strength. but what else might there that is needful and helpful to all concerned?

"the meek shall inherit the earth" says it all,trouble is the ego interprets meek as wimpy and the legacy of that foolishness is all around us.Rather think stillness,silence,being present in the moment,withdrawing as you say.The paradox is that when we stop seeking it comes to us.
