countryside... for sure...

less neighbors, the better....

but that is, of course, assuming no financial (i.e. where do I have to commute to?) issues

Give me a skyline, people and life! Zen living is for long weekends and getaways.

So, which would you pick?

Log home perched high on a ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean with the horses running across the pasture just below. Fog hangs just offshore and twenty foot waves crashing on the rocks. Food? Run down to the river and hook a fat salmon, pick some chantrelles for a white wine sauce for the fish. Hiking, camping, skiing, it's the wilderness for me.

It's right where I live now and I couldn't think of living any place else.

Great post Ming,

I picked ocean country side with horse pastures running down to the sea, and big sky like out west, and only 60 minutes to Boston.

Right here on Lake Washington in the "middle" of Seattle: view of mountains and water dawn to dusk..

Well considering that I'm not married I'd say downtown, but if I had a family then I might like the country. So how about you?
