No, really, there's no power at home. Only surviving by the grace of a laptop battery and a UPS hooked up to the cable modem and router. Sometimes being a geek is a good thing.

It's been a horrible summer for outages. I almost sure we've had more this summer than in the entire 10 years we've lived here. Wonder what's changed this year? Deferred maintenance or are we just having a run of bad luck. All I know is they need to get their act together. I'm tired of worrying about the food in the fridge and freezers.

At least it's a cool night... DTE says they hope to have things restored by 2 AM.

Hey JF
You could hook a generator to your exercise bike, most have one anyway, that is what gives resistance.

crank those watts!

We missed a major 3 day long power outage by 10 miles. All the surrounding towns had it

Hope you and your family will be ok.

Bummer! I know the feeling. I was without power for 5 days at the start of June. I was without internet for two weeks at that time, too.

Glad you are able to get your fix!
