Candy, the next gateway drug!

What do Connecticut, Chicago, and Suffolk County, NY have in common? How about New York City, Michigan, New Jersey and Georgia?

Seems they've all banned or are considering banning lollipops from store shelves. No, they aren't banning Tootsie Pops or Dum-Dums, these are marijuana-flavored pops.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal had this to say about "Pot Suckers" candy: It's "a gateway product" that "glamorizes drugs for children." Gateway to what? Ice cream? Potato Chips? Or, heaven forbid, French Silk Pie and Cherry Cheesecake?

The reaction of these government entities has caused the New Jersey distributor to discontinue sales, but you have to love their marketing slogan: "Every lick is like taking a hit." While the candy is made with hemp oil, it contains no THC.

Well, what's the point of it tasting like marijuana if it doesn't have any of the "benefits?" What kind of pothead do you need to be to want to eat the stuff anyway?

That's about as good as the incense that smells like pot ...I mean I thought people only burned incense to cover up the smell of pot

Not that I've smoked much...but I definitely wouldn't want that lollipop

I bet that these are great for people who get the munchies after Domino's stops delivering. The local 7-11 store is open at 3 AM. Although, if you're going to the trouble of going to a 24-hour convenience store, wouldn't you just buy Doritos or something, anyway?

I guess I don't get the point, either.

It's not the hemp, or THC, but the refined sugar that will kill you. (shaking head)

Shush Polybear! I'm keeping my sugar, oh, and the stuff you're talking about too.

The inanity of our lawmakers never ceases to amaze me.
School cafeterias rely on junk food sales to compensate for underfunded budgets, children are overweight, obese, and diabetic in epidemic numbers yet this is what they're concerned about.
